The Wood is located on the outskirts of the rural village community of Talog overlooking the Cywyn River Valley some 8 miles north west of the County and Market town of Carmarthen.

RIGHTS OF WAY
- the Woodland can be approached via a Public Footpath from the centre of Talog adjacent to the former Mill below 'Lon Y Felin' or ALTERNATIVELY via a right of way that serves the property known as 'Sychpant' as indicated on the enclosed Plan.

DIRECTIONS: - From Carmarthen travel north through Trevaughan past the 'Plough and Harrow Public House' continuing through Bwlchnewydd and take the next left hand turning for Talog/Abernant - signposted. Travel past the turnings for Abernant continuing into the village of Talog. Travel through Talog over the river bridge and up the hill and turn first right for 'Man Ieuan' by the Chapel - signposted. Travel along this Council maintained road for approximately half a mile and the entrance to the property known as ‘Sychpant’ will be found on the right hand side opposite the left hand turning for the property known as 'Rhyd yr Gareg Ddu'. Continue down this hardcored track and you can park in the yard by the buildings and then walk around the outbuildings to the right into the field and to the Woods. ALTERNATIVELY the Wood can be approached on foot from the village of Talog by a Public Footpath that leads past the ‘Old Mill’ and property known as 'Teasant' - SEE PLAN.
